I was selected to dress Mimi Sterling, the Vice President of Corporate Communications and PR at Neiman Marcus in one of my designs to wear at the 2017 Parsons Benefit.
VISIONS OF CHINA
MET’S 2015 EXHIBITION “CHINA THROUGH THE LOOKING GLASS”
My garment was on display at the "Metropolitan Museum of Art" in New York City for an event representing the MET exhibition “China Through The Looking Glass.” I had taken a word that was special to my family and laser-cut it to represent Chinese paper cut. I spray-painted each of the laser-cut words in a gold color and hand-sewn four hundred eighty of the pieces to create a dragon on my red "Americanized" qipao dress.
